America the Beautiful (To access from home click HERE)
America the Beautiful is an interactive database for state-by-state history and current events for elementary and middle school students.  This database also includes timelines, profiles, games, and almanacs.

Career Cruising
Career Cruising is an interactive reference guide which provides in-depth profiles of hundreds of different careers. In addition to job profiles, users will find multimedia interviews with real people in each career, search tools which can link the user's interest with a career, and a comprehensive database of colleges and universities which specialize in educating students interested each career.

Career Library
Available for a trial basis through December 2010! Career Library allows the user to take popular skill and career assessment surveys to determine the career which fits his/her needs and personality, as well as search for careers or colleges/universities based on the users interests, education, salary requirements, state, cost, and available majors. Career Library also provides the user with college planning assistance as well as resume help, important links and articles, and GED and SAT practice quizzes.

Discovering Collection
Discovering Collection offers easy access to award-winning content based on national curriculum standards and covers core curriculum areas, including history, literature, science, social studies. This database also includes a selection of primary sources, creative works, and multimedia as well as an integrated national and state curriculum standards search with content correlated to the standards.

Gale Virtual Reference Library
Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources covering a wide range of topics including the arts, business, education, history, law, literature, medicine, religion, science, and social science.

Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia (To access from home click HERE)
Aimed at junior high and high school students, this encyclopedia includes articles, images, sounds, and movies about numerous subjects. Also included are quizzes and games, time lines, and research ideas.

Infotrac Junior Edition: K-12
This periodical database is designed for students in junior high and middle school and provides access to a variety of indexed and full-text magazines, newspapers, and reference books for information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports and more.

Kids Search
This database meets the research needs of students in K-8th grade containing articles on current events, the arts, science, health, people, government, and sports.  This database also includes an encyclopedia and dictionary.

Through the use of maps, images, and links, this database serves as a principal resource on countries, cultures, and current events for the classroom and for the library.

LearningExpress Library
This database offers the practice tests, exercises, and skill-building courses needed to achieve the results needed for school, work, and life. Receive extra help in elementary, middle, and high school subject matters (including SAT and AP subject tests). Learn how to use computer programs (Adobe and Microsoft) and brush up on important workplace skills (resumes and business writing). Prepare for the GED, US Citizenship Test, and other licensing, certification, and aptitude tests for a wide range of occupations.

Science encyclopedia for middle and high school students. 

NoveList Plus
NoveList Plus is a fiction database that provides subject heading access, reviews, annotations, and much more for over 135,000 fiction titles. It also includes other content of interests to fiction readers, such as Author Read-alikes, What We're Reading, Book Discussion Guides, BookTalks, and Annotated Book Lists. For school media specialists and teachers there are Picture Book Extenders and articles on Teaching with Fiction.

NoveList Plus K-8
NoveList Plus K-8 is a database of young adult, children's, and easy titles designed for children in pre-K, elementary, and middle schools utilizing the same search techniques and content of interests as the adult version.

Opposing Viewpoints
Opposing Viewpoints is a one-stop source for information on today’s hottest social issues and features viewpoint articles, topic overviews, full-text magazine, academic journal, and newspaper articles, primary sources documents, statistics, images and links to websites.

Scribner Writer Series
This database provides critical essays on the works of noted world authors as well as biographies and research topics.  Information is drawn from the acclaimed Scribner print series.

Science Online
This database allows the user to search a wide variety of science disciplines including chemistry, earth science, forensic science, and mathematics for articles, biographies, images, videos and timelines. A wide selection of science fair projects are also available via Science Online.

Spanish Reference Center (To access from home click HERE)
This online Spanish encyclopedia, associated with Encyclopedia Britannica, provides comprehensive articles for high school (Enciclopedia Universal en Espanol) and elementary (Enciclopedia Juvenil) students.

Student Resource Center--Bronze
The Student Resource Center Bronze acts as a general reference database for students in middle and high school and offers easy access to award-winning content based on national curriculum standards. Covering all core curriculum areas including history, literature, science, and social studies, this database provides a premium selection of full-text periodicals and newspapers, primary sources, creative works, and multimedia including video and audio clips.

Student Resource Center--Health Module
Student Resource Center - Health Module is a curriculum-oriented database that includes essays on medical and health-related topics, including diseases, treatments, and major historical figures in the fields of medicine, chemistry, biology, and related areas. Comprises of over 600 full-text titles from the Twayne Literary Masters series, including Twayne World, U.S. Authors, and English Authors.

World Book
The World Book is a premier online reference source containing every article from the 22-volume print set plus primary documents and images from many major subject areas.  A wide selection of games, activities, and crafts ( available in Word Book for Kids) provide highly entertaining and educational learning experiences for children. Also included in this database are L 'Encyclopedie Decouverte and Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos--French and Spanish language encyclopedias for elementary and middle school students.
