Databases

What are databases?

Databases are organized collections of information available to users online via a subscription purchased by a local library/libraries.  Databases provide the user with authoritative and reliable sources on a wide range of subjects in a number of useful formats including full-text newspaper, magazine, and encyclopedia articles as well as primary sources, images, abstracts, and indexes.

All Franklin Square databases, with the exception of Ancestry.com Library Edition, may be accessed from home using a valid Franklin Square Public Library card.  Use your 14 digit barcode (no spaces), located on your library card, to access these databases from home.

To search all of Franklin Square’s databases alphabetically or by subject, use the toolbar located to the right of this screen.
