Fish Tales:  Tuesday, January 6 at 4PM (Grades 1-5)

Join the Long Island Children’s Museum to learn about fish and fishing on Long Island.  Registration begins on December 17.

Living in Space:  Thursday, January 8 at 4PM (Grades 1-5)

What does it take to live in space?  Mad Science will teach you all about it.  Registration begins on December 17.

Sing A Long with Irv: Monday, January 12 at 2PM (Ages 2-5)

Join Irv Plastock as he signs traditional children’s songs.

Cake Decorating: Tuesday, February 10 at 7PM (Grades 5-8)

Chef Mary T. Sydor will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with cake decorating. Registration begins on January 29. The fee for materials is $3.

Sing Along With Irv: Tuesday, February 17 at 2PM (Ages 2-5)

Come sing traditional children’s songs with Irv Plastock. Registration begins on January 28.

Storytime with Rosie: Thursday, February 19 at 2PM (Ages 4-7)

Join therapy dog Rosie for dog stories. Registration begins on January 28.

Chocolate Making: Tuesday, February 24 at 7PM (Grades 5-8)

The Chocolicious candy makers will teach you how to make chocolate. There is a materials fee of $3 for each child. Registration begins on January 28.

Insects: Friday, March 6 at 4PM (Grades 3-7)

Science teacher Johnda Ferrari will introduce you to the world of insects. Registration begins on February 18.

Magic Workshop: Wednesday, March 11 at 4PM (Grades 4-7)

Magician John Reid of Tricky Business will teach you how to perform magic. Registration begins on March 4.

Science of Magic: Monday, March 16 at 4PM (Grades 1-5)

How did they do that? Mad Science will help you see behind the illusion. Registration begins on March 4.

Mother-Daughter Spring Crafts: Wednesday, April 1 at 7:00 PM (Grades 3-7)

You would be foolish to miss this program where together you will make some lovely springtime crafts. A glue gun is necessary, so this program is not for younger daughters. There is a $2.00 materials fee. Registration begins March 16.

Wild In Your Backyard: Friday, April 17 at 4PM (Grades K-6)

Do you know what animals live on Long Island? The Tackapausha Nature Preserve will be bringing some of the animals to the Library. Registration begins on April 4.

Family Jamboree: Wednesday, April 15 at 10:30 (Ages 12-24 months)

Tuney Tots will be doing various musical activities with the little ones. Registration begins on April 1.

Spring Craft Day: Wednesday, April 22 from 10AM-4:45PM (All ages)

Celebrate spring by making a craft. We have something for everyone. There is no fee or preregistration.

Bot Building: Friday, April 24 at 4PM (Grades 4-7)

Work in teams to assemble robots with the Cradle of Aviation Museum. Registration begins on April 1.

Frogs, Bugs, and Animals: Friday, May 1 at 4PM (Grades K-6)

Green Meadows Farm will have a variety of animals for you to learn about. Registration begins on April 22.

Recycled Paper: Thursday, May 7 at 4PM (Grades 1-5)

What can you make with recycled paper? The Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum will help you with your projects. Registration begins on April 22.

Up In The Air: Tuesday, May 12 at 4PM (Grades 1-5)

How do things fly? Come do experiments with the Long Island Children’s Museum. Registration begins on May 6.
