Welcome to the 4th annual Franklin Square Public Library Adult Summer Reading Club!
Monday, June 24 – Friday, August 16
Registration Begins Friday, June 21.
Last year’s Adult Summer Reading Club was a huge success. Over 820 books were read by 103 adults participating in the program. The top three readers alone read a combined total of over 145 books.
Let’s try and top that number this year!
Who May Join:
The Adult Summer Reading Club is open to all adults with a valid library card.
Registration:
Registration begins on Friday, June 21 (the same day as the 2-4 year olds and the 4-12 year olds) and is ongoing throughout the summer. Registration must be either in person or over the phone.
What to Do:
Once you’ve signed up, start reading! Every time you finish a book let us know by either:
- Submitting a book review ditto (provided at the time of registration and also available HERE) to the Librarian at the Adult Reference Desk.
- Submitting all your information online HERE (library barcode number required).
Prizes:
All participants who read and report on at least 4 books during the summer will receive a prize. For every four books read and reported on, the reader’s name will automatically be entered in a raffle to win an Amazon Kindle. The top 3 readers will receive a gift certificate. All prizes will be distributed at the end of the summer.
The End:
The Adult Summer Reading Club will conclude on Saturday, August 17. (sorry, no reports will be accepted after this date). A party will be held on Monday, August 19th at 11am for all participants.
